Patrick O’Brien is the premiere media buyer and sports marketer in the greater Los Angeles and Orange County area and is the CEO of O’Brien Marketing. Using his 25 years of experience, O’Brien has aided the growth of brands using creative negotiation, extensive market research, execution and implementation. Prior to founding O’Brien Marketing, he served as the Vice President of Sales at AEG and was the Director of Sports Sales at KFWB.
While with KFWB, O’Brien fulfilled a childhood dream and worked with the Dodgers, leading advertising sales for the Dodger Radio Network. Along with his responsibilities with the Dodgers, he ran advertising sales for the NFL Sunday and Monday Night Football programs.
At AEG, he oversaw all AEG naming and founding partnership programs, and is credited with securing corporate sponsors for STAPLES Center and The Home Depot Center. He coordinated sponsorship of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Kings, LA Avengers of the Arena Football League, and AEG’s Major League Soccer teams, including the Los Angeles Galaxy, D.C. United, Colorado Rapids, Chicago Fire, and the former New York/New Jersey MetroStars.
In his tenure with AEG, he led Major League Soccer in corporate sponsorship sales as well as being nominated twice for the prestigious 40 under 40 Sports Business Journal award.
O’Brien left AEG in 2007 to start O’Brien Marketing. Since its inception, O’Brien and his associates have employed their vast knowledge and experience to implement creative strategy and negation to grow brands such as E&J Gallo, LA Care, Pacific Coast Termite, Major League Soccer, See Jane Go, D-Link, and Herbalife.
He is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles. He resides in Newport Beach, CA with his wife, Shelley– and children Hannah, Jack, Maggie, and Caroline.
As Executive Vice President of O’Brien Marketing, Dondi Kingsbury uses her 19-years of experience to cultivate new business and develop relationships to help brands grow. Prior to her position at O’Brien Marketing, Kingsbury worked with O’Brien as the Director of Corporate Partnerships at AEG.
Kingsbury began her sports career in corporate relations with FC Dallas of Major League Soccer. In 2001, she was hired by AEG to manage corporate partnerships and marketing.
Upon being promoted to Director, Kingsbury generated and managed over $50 million in revenue for properties including the LA Kings, STAPLES Center, Home Depot Center, LA Galaxy, Houston Dynamo, Chicago Fire, Mexican National Team, Amgen Tour of California, International Cycling, Tennis, and premier international soccer franchises such as Real Madrid, Chelsea FC, and AC Milan.
In 2008, Kingsbury joined O’Brien Marketing– where her focus is on servicing select clients through media buying and planning as well as sports and event marketing.
Kingsbury is a graduate of UT, Austin– and she resides with her husband Brian and children Sienna and Remi.
Peter is a highly regarded, business minded, financial professional with over 35 years of diversified experience in the US and Europe. He has the ability to synthesize complex issues to produce and implement value enhancing solutions to drive improved profit and cash flow. Peter is energetic, articulate and excellent at presenting his vision to employees, senior executives and stakeholders. His approach has created substantial value for the firms he has worked with.
Peter started his professional career with the International Top 4 accounting firm, KPMG, gaining experience in a wide variety of industries. From there he moved to ICI, one of the leading UK companies, where he progressed through increasingly senior roles in operations and finance ending as head of finance for corporate planning of the Pharmaceuticals where he led numerous acquisitions and divestments while producing the long term strategic forecasts for the business.
Peter became CFO of Aptium Oncology; the Los Angeles based leading manager of cancer centers in 1997. During his 15 years he transformed Aptium from loss making into an extremely profitable company by building a highly regarded, motivated finance team and with their help introducing focused reporting systems which enabled management to concentrate on the key issues to drive revenue, profit and cash flow. He is skilled negotiator whose efforts helped Aptium achieve industry leading margins. He led the disposal of Aptium and through his innovative approach generated over 600% of the value offered by Private Equity.

Peter received a masters from Oxford University and successfully completed the Advanced Management Program at Duke. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant and is a now Fellow Of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is married with 2 children and lives in Pacific Palisades, California.
